Beginnings are hard
So I’m returning to my roots. My first post will be about the first topic I ever covered on my Tumblr over a decade ago: One Direction. Not only did front-runner Harry Styles inspire my page name, but the band itself sparked a fire within me at the tender age of 12. From them, I got my insurgent desire to “be online” and was exposed to all sorts of writing that I never would have discovered otherwise (hello, Room 317). Instead of tumblr, this time I’m opting for the sleek novelty of Substack, and hope to share pieces about subjects other than my favorite boy band.
Future topics will be a surprise, even to me. I hope to write an assortment of personal essays, reviews, and some drafted fiction works as well. In an effort to be more brave about sharing my writing and accountable to actual finish works, I’m putting this out there for the whole world to see.
